What Are Neurotoxins?

Neurotoxins are substances that can be injected into the face to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. They block your facial muscles from connecting with facial nerves, which causes your muscles to be inactive. Your muscles will become smooth in the areas we inject neurotoxins, which also causes your skin to appear smooth. We can use neurotoxins to treat:

What Kind of Neurotoxin Services Do We
Offer in South Florida?

At Palm Beach Dermatology Group, we offer several different kinds of neurotoxin services, including:

Neurotoxin Services - Jeuveau - Xeomin - Palm Beach Dermatology Group

Jeuveau

Jeuveau is generally only used for cosmetic purposes. Many patients see results within two days after their Jeuveau treatment.

Xeomin

Xeomin is unique in that it undergoes a filtration process to remove proteins that do not affect its treatment capabilities. You can generally see results three to four days after treatment, and they ordinarily last three months.

Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, and Xeomin are FDA-approved and safe for qualifying patients. Our doctors will assess your condition and suggest which treatment is right for you. It’s important to remember that none of these neurotoxin services are permanent. For long-term results, you may need to receive injections more than once a year.

Botox

Botox can improve the appearance of crow’s feet, frown lines, and forehead lines. It generally takes effect within 24 to 48 hours of treatment, and most patients notice that their results last about four months.

Dysport

We may recommend Dysport if you plan to treat frown lines between your eyebrows. Dysport is typically injected in five spots above and between your eyebrows to reduce the appearance of fine lines.

You’ll generally see results in two to three days after treatment, and your results may last up to five months.
