About

Our South Florida Team Uses Restylane and Revanasse Fillers to Reverse the Clock

If you have wrinkles or lack facial elasticity or volume in your skin, you may benefit from dermal fillers. At Palm Beach Dermatology Group, we use hyaluronic acid fillers. According to Mayo Clinic, hyaluronic acid naturally occurs in the skin’s connective tissue. It’s the most commonly used option and can last anywhere from six months to one year.

After discussing your skincare goals, we may suggest that you receive one of these fillers:

Restylane: This filler comes in firm and soft injectable gels. It smooths out folds and wrinkles in the cheeks, nose, lips, around the eyes, and mouth and adds volume to the lips.
Revanasse: This line has a full assortment of cross-linked hyaluronic acid fillers that volumize the face, soften wrinkles and fine lines, lift the cheekbones and eyebrows, and reshape facial features.

This procedure should take about an hour, and you may see a difference in your skin pretty quickly, but it may take a few days to notice the full effect.

Treatment

If You’re a Good Candidate for Restylane or Revanansse Fillers

When you come in for your first appointment, one of our doctors will ask you a series of questions to get a better idea of your medical history and why you’re interested in getting dermal fillers. We may also conduct a physical exam.

The information we gather can indicate if undergoing these injections would be suitable for you. Good candidates usually have:

  • Deep nasolabial folds

  • Sunken, hollow cheeks

  • A receding chin

  • Thin or uneven lips

  • Lines surrounding the mouth

We may suggest you explore other options if you’re on blood thinners, as that could lead to some complications.

Clinical trials are research studies that examine the effects of behavioral or medical interventions on a human sample population. In addition to testing the effectiveness and safety of a product, these trials examine diagnostic procedures, preventative measures, and improving the quality of life of those with chronic diseases.
