What We Can Do to Treat Your Eczema

Generally, on the day of the procedure, we’ll administer local anesthetics that only numb part of your body, or general anesthesia, which puts you to sleep. Then, our doctor will elevate your skin, removing, sculpting, or transferring it, to reposition your face’s contours. When we finish, we will stitch up the incision marks. Depending on the technique your doctor uses and what you’re getting done, this procedure can take three to six hours.

After your facelift, you may experience swelling, bruising, numbness, pain, and even drainage from the incision sites. Those are perfectly normal side effects. Still, they cause discomfort, so to make yourself feel better, take medication as prescribed, apply cold packs to ease the swelling and keep your head elevated.

During the next few weeks, you’ll come in for several appointments during which we will monitor your pain, eventually remove the stitches, and track your progress. The results of a facelift can last for up to 10 years.
